Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] PSUB Fatalities...
On the subject of safety and viewports, how often are double view ports used
and what are some of the considerations in the way of how to achieve this.
Only one sub I have heard of uses two and it was a sub that was hired to the
public in shallow water and I think was a requirement of the 'authorities'.
Obviously the advantage it gives in a collision, when the outer port takes
the impact, is a huge plus.
As has been mentioned, if anyone is considering a high speed sub, the time
from spotting an impending obstacle, to the time of collision could be very
short and two viewports would bring more peace of mind but hopefully not
more recklessness !
Curious,
Karl
