An
ambient sub implies that the cabin is not completely sealed to the environment,
therefore as the submersible descends, the internal pressure will be equal to
that of the outside ambient pressure.
An
ambient-Dry submersible normally uses a regulating valve which adds pressurized
air as you descend and equalizes it to or near the pressure of the surrounding
environment.
