Re: Scrubber material - on the original Newtsuit build, we commisioned an
exhaustive series of tests at various temps (down to near freezing)  and
with several differents brands of the commonly availble soda-limes. These
included Draegersorb, Sofnolime,Sodasorb,Sordasorb high-performance, etc.,
>From the results of those tests, we (Nuytco) use Sodasorb HP because of its
superior performance at low temperatures.The reasoning was that if you had
to go the full 80 hours, the boat would have chilled to near ambient and
that's when you dont want your absorbent to let you down! These tests were
briefly covered in a paper titled 'Life-support in small submersibles" that
I gave at a biosphere conference, some years ago. I believe there is a copy
in the Psubs archives or 'white paper' section. 
        BTW, to those psubbers that have access to dry ice or liquid air -
a cryogenic scrubber is a nice, small-package way to go.
