I used Silicon to pressure balance electronic circuit boards to about 2000 psi. It would work well, but it has a fairly large temperature expansion coefficient. You will have to account for volume change with temperature change. This can be very simple but must be thought of.

I can get you the spec sheet for the one we used if you would like.

Hi, Has anybody ever used silcone based dielectric fluid for a battery pod? Where the battery pod is outside the sub and exposed to the amient pressure. I just came across this fluid and didn't realize it was used in that application. It seems like it might be better in that it would not break down or soften plastic components, also maybe it would work in as a medium for computer components and relays which are exposed to pressure.
