Yes, they are for steel. I use mostly Sherwin - Williams products for this kind of work. 

They have a very wide range of products available for most any use.
If you contact them it is best to use an industrial S W store as their people will be more up to date on specs generaly.

I cannot comment on the european products but am an Industrial Painting
Contractor. For the best results you will need to start with a zinc Rich
primer followed by at least two coats of high solids epoxy. It is very
important that all products are approved for immersion service as some
epoxies are not.

Quick question for Peter/Carsten and the Euro guys or anyone who is familiar 
with the Relius paint products.
I have found a source for Relius submarine paints in England and they have 
sent me the details of their products.
The main product that seems to be for outer hulls is called Oldopox ARC or 
Vinyl Barier NK.  However these only come in black or redbrown which are
just a bit GLOOMY for me.

Oldopox HB comes in some more friendly colours and seems to be suitable.

I assume all these products need a coat of Oldopox Primer ZHG first?

Can anyone give some advice on these products?
