Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Manipulator actuation / design

Hi  Joe
I am allso building a k350 and I am planning to fit a  lightweight manipulator arm similar to an excavator arm very simple design  with hydraulic flow powered by compressed air it will be fitted with a quick tool change system(quick hitch)so if the grab gets snagged the hydraulic jaw which holds the tool can be released which would automatically happen if the pipe was severed in any way.Go into excavator sites and then downscale.
All the best
Glen

Hugh,

I can't speak to the dump mechanism but, the robotics link I provided in my original post
has an excellent tutorial on the subject.
