Hi Phil. I think I understand the basic mechanism you describe for a
breakaway arm. Very interesting and thanks alot. When I reach that point on my
sub design this info will be invaluable.
On another note, what kind of batteries do you
currently suggest for a home builder. Because the technology is changing so
fast, I was going to purchase regular deep cycle marine batteries from my local
auto supply store at $60 each X 13 and use those while I test the sub and learn
how to drive it. Once I get all the bugs worked out, I can look at a more
permanent set with higher capacities. ( and much higher cost )
Again, thanks for the great advice on the arm and I hope we get to visit
with you at next year's convention.
