Hi Brian. After looking at the batteries available, and cost, endurance,
life span, etc. it looks to me the Trojan golf cart "traction" batteries are the
best solution. 6 volt batteries can be pulled much harder than 12 volt ones
without heating up. The traction batteries are made with thicker plates, accept
more abuse, easier to charge ( but not faster ) and are what home built electric
cars use. The conditions of use are very close to what we would use them for.
They run about $145 each. Frank D. |
