  It is really kinda funny in that this is really the very first unit we played with with only a stainless retainer inserted! It is also probably the cheapest to produce.

  I recommend giving this simple hydrophone a HBH designation! The only drawback with this small item is there is no room for a preamplifier card within this thin housing.

Just completed a depth test of Dave’s latest hydrophone housing in the Tongue of the Ocean (TOTO) near shore to Andros Island in the Bahamas.  Happy to report that the housing reached 1276 fsw (the limits of the line on the electric fishing reel) without leaking.  OK whose sub is going to do a live test now to this depth?
