Attached is a robotic arm with a 9ft reach that uses linear actuators similar to Franks.

You would need 3 linear actuators at $119- each & a stepper motor to rotate the turret.

You could just use 4 toggle switches to operate it.

Following on the thought of using Franks oil compensated linear actuators

for making a robotic arm. You could easily mount a camera near the claw of the

arm & use it as a periscope. Have it rotating 360 degrees. Also use the camera for close up shots

of whatever you're picking up, or turn the camera on yourself for action footage.
