Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] how to fit the acrylic dome
PVHO is ok, but in my opinion they reference other ASME documents way
too much which means you'll have to spend additional money on those
other documents. A better choice, also in my opinion, is to purchase
Handbook of Acrylics by Jerry Stachiw. He chaired the ASME committee
that created the PVHO standard and the PVHO document from ASME is pretty
much nothing more than a document of Stachiw's life work. The
difference is that in his own book Stachiw not only provides all the
same info in the PVHO standard but also the rationale for those
standards which goes a long way to understanding why the standards are
important to follow. It is well worth the price from any book supplier
but PSUBS members get a large discount that ends up paying for your
membership.
