Ken Martindale
In your posting to me so many months ago you stated that there is a need to
have some sort of active current limiter in series with the motor or risk
demagnetizing the motors magnets in a locked shaft situation. I am not sure
what you mean by this active current limiter. What is it and is it something
that can be made, purchased, or other methods of acquire. I have Minnkota
motors, model T50, 12 volt, 41 amp = 32 lbs thrust. It is a direct current
permanent magnet motor that will pressure compensated per your instruction
in other postings. My project is progerssing well and hope to have it in the
water this summer (Australia). thanks
                                                Shayne

P.S. Has any one found any good robotic sites (arms) on the net?
