Re: The theory behind cardboard

Interesting exchange about cardboard.

About four years ago, on a newsgroup, someone reported that they
needed to be sure the 22-foot kayak they wanted to build would
fit in their apartment. To be certain it would fit, the chap built a
full-sized model of it out of cardboard.

Once he'd one this, he asked what he might do with the cardboard
model. The consensus was that fiberglassing the thing would make
his life easier, because he'd then not have to "really" build the boat.

As far as I know, cardboard makes a fine kayak.

By the way, it fit into his apartment.
