Joe,
If your thinking about using these graphics on your sub, I would say it will work fine. I would buy some today and put some on a painted chunk of steel plate and throw it in the ocean where you can retrieve it over time. I once did that with a sample piece of hull plate for my boat. I sprayed it with box liner and did a one year submerged test.
