<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div><div>I was getting ready to fill my 3 Minn-Kota motors with fluid and saved a post from quite a while ago on how someone did it. It says to drill an 1/8" hole in both sides between the magnets and wrap clear tube around the housing a couple of times.<br><br></div>Couple of questions come to mind.<br></div>I understand that the tubing is to allow the the expansion of the oil when it gets hot but I wouldn't think that the tubing would be flexible enough to allow for that.<br></div>If it is, would a 1/4" hole be better?<br></div>also, is this method based on theory or has someone actually had a problem with the O ring being compromised in the past because they didn't have a place for the oil to expand? <br></div>Thanks<br><br></div>Rick<br></div>
