| Public Education & Outreach Program |
| PSUBS is committed to fostering an outreach program to educate and involve the public with our submersible work and discoveries. We welcome you to navigate our website, download and use our educational materials, and contact our members who have volunteered to help you learn more about submersibles and exploration of the Earth's waters. For all inquiries, contact publicrelations@psubs.org |
Our members often make their submarines available for educational and public display providing an overview of submarine systems, the underlying physics involved, and a chance to see a real submarine up close to encourage discovery. |
PSUBS partners with Innerspace Science for education and science based events utilizing small recreational submarines. Our member submarines operate strictly non-commercial, with no chartering fees or paying passengers. Expedition participants simply pay for their own expenses or split costs with others if mutually agreed. Our submersibles can be towed by a SUV and launched from regular boat ramps, we absolutely minimize the required support infrastructure. |
Jon Wallace is a co-founder of PSUBS.ORG and has directed the organizations path since its inception in 1996. He is available within the general New England area to speak to your group for free. Topics can include the beginnings and current mission of the Personal Submersibles Organization, manned submersibles, ROV's, AUV's, how submarines dive and resurface, submersible design, fabrication, and operations, practical uses for small submersibles, certification standards, operational guidelines, laws and rules, and other similar topics. |
