    i would try the hydrohoist people for this that is what they use for thier boat lifts. change the motor to a dc motor.

Does anyone know how much backpressure your typical 12v bilge blower can tolerate?
 
They are marketed off the shelf in 3" - 4" dia and 150 to 250 cfm flows but do not list psig operating range as it is usually not a factor to consider.
 
However, I would like to consider using one as a lp ballast blow system similar to the WWII fleet boats lp blower system. Could these be stepped down to a smaller dia and still do the job, or routed at full dia?
