Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Introduction

Hi Todd.

If you are interested in submarines but might to like to build a glass bottom boat first that is a little like a sub, then
take a look at this link for ideas, http://www.nauticalniche.com/undersea/yellowsubmarine.htm

Subject: RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Introduction

Another quick introduction, I too have been watching the PSUBS website for a few years dreaming of the day I might be able to build my own submarine. I'm interested in anything aquatic or mechanical and especially anything that combines the two. I spent eleven years as a machinist working on projects from urinal valves to the international space station and am currently employed as an engineer working on museum and autoshow exhibits. If any of you are in the Detroit area and need help with your submarine I'd love to help and learn something new. I'm pretty experienced with metal and have a small machine shop in my garage.

In the future I'd like to build a small submarine that can get me down to about 150' (45Mm) so I can explore local lakes in relative warmth and dryness. Something similar to the tourist subs you see except small enough to be trailered around. I may start off with a glorified glass bottom boat however as that sounds like a slightly less ambitious project.
Let me know if I can help
Thanks
