Epoxy saturated plywood is also my material of choice for my ambient design, along with some FRP for abrasion resistance, and possibly a thin gauge access panel or two in AL.
Besides the 1 atm example Carsten gave you, there are several decades old designs floating about out there. The Markham Delta Wing on the PSUBS site is one such example.
Plywood is not a popular choice of material. Commercially produced ambient designs use FRP almost exclusively for dimensional stability, as well as marketability reasons. Plywood has a multitude of both advantages as well as disadvantages which must be understood and taken into account.

One thing to remember, raw plywood has approximately 30 lbs (66 kg) of reserve positive buoyancy for every 1 cubic foot of mass, which must be compensated for in hard ballast (lead). Fortunately lead weighs 708 lbs (1,557 kg) for the same mass. The larger the design, the larger this problem becomes.
