I don't understand why you're trying to cast such an easy
shape to cut. Why not start with 2mm clear acrylic and cut it in to a 2 cm
circle? You could use a plug cutter or similar device. Another though is to
search ebay for cheap rifle scopes or similar optical instruments that already
have fully ground glass lenses and adapt one of them to your sub. I've never
tried casting acrylic, it sounds like it might be fun. Good

thin or it distorts the camera image. It's also flat, no dome shape (I couldn't
figure out how to get a nice smooth dome... although now I have quite the
collection of odd shaped tiddly winks if anyone's interested)
Problem is the things are so brittle I don't think
they'll stand up to much preasure.
Am I missing something
here?
