[PSUBS-MAILIST] Material Specs and Requirements

Hello All -

I am trying to move along in my design, but I have become somewhat
frustrated. Perhaps someone can direct me.

I am intending to build a 1 atm sub capable of 300 feet. I would like the
surrounding hull design to sustain a depth of as much as 1200 feet. I have
downloaded the ABS_Hull_Calculation spread sheets, but there is information
I cannot find that is required. Specifically, the performance data on the
materials themselves. I have consulted Busby's book and other sources, with
a number or recommendations about materials; but I am having a difficult
time finding information on such things as Young's Modulus of Elasticity,
Poisson's Ratio, Yield Stress, and Density on these steels. Perhaps I am
just overlooking it.

Is there any resource on the net or in print that will give me these specs?
I recognize material selection is critical. I have tried to run down an ABS
document in our library system with this info - but have had no success.
Any information on this order would be very helpful.
