Yeah, rainbow springs has something like 200'
visability, it's really nice.
Pics will go up sunday after the test I'm hoping
video too, I'll also be testing the software interface to the
custom controlboard... so many tests.

Best of luck George! That's nice "clear" water there you're going to test
in if it's the springs. Post some pics whan you can.

I finished the last bit of machining and
welding on my BugEye rov last night... It was pretty interesting to see
everything I had been working on for the last couple months in modular form
come all together as quickly as it did. It almost worries me because it went
too smoothly. BUT, I tested the whole integrated unit in the swimming pool
and it seems I have excellent control of the ROV. Of course this is non
moving water so the affect of current wasn't there. I also wasn't able to go
more than 6ft down, so my preasure sensor didn't register a thing. (I ended
up using a SPD100G 100psig)
Sunday I'm going down to rainbow springs for
it's first real open water test. If all goes well with that I'm going
to head up to destin and get on the boat out to the "hole" the weekend after
this one to test it for depth.
