Hi, Joe - I can only begin to imagine considering
the skill levels these people demonstrate. I almost ended up a science
illustrator.
If you keep on going with this you may just have an
avenue out of hospital work (assuming you enjoy art more than vomit). I
put my photography career on hold to bring up my three kids - my wife kept the
job with the benefits: lab tech. I ended up taking a part time job in a
hospital myself. Hate it. Money's ~, but I starve
intellectually.
Subs: so many of these illustrations can be adapted
to subs, probably because sci-fi ship designs are so often based on
sleekness, and therefore hydrodynamics, to achieve their coolness with the
audience, Borg ships notwithstanding. That's my theory anyway .
. .
Say, if you find something "subby" in these
subcultures let us know.
In any case, I'm off to Mtl. tomorrow for a week so
I'll be out of touch.
Cheers!!!
Rick L

Fabulous! You know Rick, in playing around with this CAD rendering stuff, I
discovered and entire subculture based on photorealistic modeling alone. Some
of these computer generated renderings are done by the big time boys in
hollywood.
Very nice.
