Bob,
You would be well advised to follow the K-350 blueprints exactly as drawn
up.
A consideral amount of design and engineering expertise was utilized in the
development of the K-350.
All materials and components were given careful consideration.
You should also either purchase or borrow from a library a copy Jerry
Stachiw's book "Handbook of Acrylics for Submersibles,
Hyperbaric Chambers and Aquaria ".
There is a very important procedure you must follow while fabricating the
plexiglas for a hyperbaric application, ( annealing is essential ).
The K-350 is a completely safe and well proven design if built correctly ,
but like in any 1 atmosphere submersible its viewports are most likely its
weakest link ( not counting its human operator).
