RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Idabel photos

to answer your first question- the ss pipe is just as a guard- mostly to protect the vert thrustermotors-

in terms of testing-I had it in a lake 2 times to get the balamce-bouyancy dialed in- andthen the first timeI had it in saltwater I took it to 1500 feet- manned- I had done model testing- with 6 inch spheres in douglas privat´s tank, where the models madeit to over 4400 feet without imploding- the camber then started to fail-so- I have a high degree of faith in my design and work

Beautiful! Kudos to Karl.

I've got two questions:

1) What is the stainless steel pipe, which seems to
connect the two lower spheres together? Is it a cable
raceway, or simply an entanglement guard? Or perhaps
simply a hand hold?

2) After discussions following Dan's description of
his deep water testing, I'm curious to hear Karl
detail how he deep water tested Idabel. Manned?
Unmanned? Instrumented? Remotely controlled?

Regards,
JP
