Hi Rick.
As I recall when you first made the frapper site and
wanted us to join, you asked us to post photos
of ourselves and you said it would be nice to put a face
to our names and to let others know more
about us. From what you had earlier said I thought the
frapper site was a site for all of us to get to
know each other better by viewing pictures of us and our
lives. Why are you going away from that
initial thinking and statements of yours? If the only
photos you now allow are psub related
photos,
then that really takes away all aspects of letting others
"know more about us" except for our
submarine interests. Now that you are excluding all
pics but sub pics, the site is little more than
a replacement for the moki picture exchange and only
shows our sub interests and nothing else
about us. I do not see how this
brings us any more closer together than we were before you created
the frapper site. We have our pin
stuck in a map letting everyone know where we are. What good
does that do and how does that
bring us closer together as a group? I don't see much difference now
than before we had the frapper
site. We had the moki picture exchange with only sub stuff on it.
Now we have frapper with only sub
stuff on it. So much for getting to know each other any better
than we did before our frapper site existed. If you wanted
us to only post sub related photos on
frapper, it would have been good if you had said so before
we took the time to post other non sub
related photos about our lives so
that "others could get to know us better". I now see that it is
probably not possible for us all to become friends in any
aspect outside of our mutual submarine
interests. That is fine. I can accept that and perhaps
that is the best way to handle our association.
I just wish you had set it up and told us that would be
the way it was from the beginning before some
of us exposed aspects of our lives with non sub
related pics because you asked us to post pics about
ourselves so we could get to know
each other better. I was not really interested in everyone here
knowing
that I am an entertainer/Elvis impersonator, but since
you urged me, and said it would be "cool" to post pictures
there of me as an entertainer I did. Now you have removed those pictures. So now I am left with
people making jokes at this list about my
profession (as has happened recently in a post here) and
sometimes some people might think less of someone's
intelligence simply because that person is an Elvis
impersonator. For that reason, I was never especially thrilled about
that aspect of my life
being public here, but due to your urging I posted pics of
myself performing on frapper. Now those pics are removed and
instead of us becoming closer as friends and fellow sub
builders, we are back to just this list and a moki replacement,
and at your urging I have needlessly exposed an aspect of
my life I really didn't want to bring into this group's association
and have perhaps lowered my esteem in other's eyes from
being an intelligent person to one of perhaps being a joke of
an Elvis impersonator. You should have set up
this frapper site from the very beginning to be stricly sub related
and left out all the
crap about us becoming closer to each other and getting to
know each other better, when that is all over now and we are
now
back to only knowing each other thru our sub interests,
just like we were BEFORE you created the frapper site!
I wish you had never asked me to join the frapper site and urged me to post
pictures there about my Elvis impersonations that
you have now removed. I noticed that the majority if not
all of the pictures you removed were of me performing.
The very type of
pictures you personally wrote to me and urged me to
post! What the HELL was that all about only for you to later remove
them????
This is the way it should have been from the beginning,
but it is not the way you represented it to me to be. Now I feel
damaged and misguided by you Rick. There is really
nothing you can say to change this Rick and the damage is done.
Perhaps you will learn by this mistake and not try to
bring us "closer together" in the future in any aspect other than
our
mutual submarine interests. I am very disappointed
in your misguidance and sudden change in your
stated reasons for our
frapper site's existance. The next time someone here
has a bright idea and wants us all to join
something and then changes
the rules and what they told us earlier, I will
remember THIS time and NOT join it. I
don't want to discuss this further. I have stated
my feelings and there is nothing left to be said, so let
it die here. Just know that I am disappointed in you Rick. Don't even try
to
discuss it with me.
