Grettings all,
Just a quick note to let you know about a book I discovered
yesterday. The title is Submarine Warfare in the Civil War by
Mark K. Ragan. You may or may not be familiar with it. It was
first published in 1999 but I didn't see it in the PSubs book list.
Good book. I was only familiar with the Hunley and the
Davids but Ragan's book sheds light upon Union subs as well, and describes
other subs that were built and possibly operated.
I found it in a discount book store in the local outlet mall for
$12. The ISBN is
0-3-6-81197-9. If you're a Civil War buff as well as a PSubber, I
think you'd enjoy this one. Oh, yes. The author has his own sub,
but I haven't seen his name associated w/ PSubs.org.
