Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] an exciting addition to the convention
Date: Mon, 12 Jun 2006 14:58:08 -0400
Great news, we're going to have one more presentation at the convention!
Jay Jeffries is a direct descendant of Simon Lake, who was one of the
most notable pioneers of submarines back when the Navy (and other
navies) had to be educated on the whole concept. Jay served on nuclear
submarines as a nuclear technician and received a degree in Ocean
Engineering, and has been involved with subs and the dive industry ever
since. Currently he is employed at the US Navy's Atlantic Undersea
Testing and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) on Andros Island in the Bahamas.
Jay's topic is going to be Simon Lake: His Origins, Inventions, and
Submarines.
Ray, may I ask you to add the topic and bio to the details page of the
convention?
THANKS JAY!
Alec
