Hello psubbers.
I've found a site for batteries that looks very interesting.
These are the new Lithium-Ion batteries sized for larger applications.(
previously made for cell phones and cameras.)
They are located in Texas and their web-site is www.valence.com
Check out the "U-charge" versions which are direct replacements for 12V
systems.
These are expensive, but have a good reputation for reliability, and should
be safer than lead/acid or gel-cell. Their web-site also says it is easier on
the environment?
