I'd love to try one but it seems clear that Bionic Dolphin has no buoyancy control and can only submerge dynamically and briefly.  

I wouldn't call it a submersible but can understand the certification challenges that Doc has had, given that it's hard to put it in an existing category of watercraft.  

It looks fun though.  Hard to argue with putting 400+ hp in that size of craft.  :-)

            What is wrong with this is that is not a true submersible but rather a toy that should be manufactured by one of the major jet-ski people. I truly applaud the effort "Doc" Watson for all the effort it took to bring this creation to fruition. It is a marvelous ride, but let's just say you wanted to maneuver around in 80 to 150 feet of water and watch the sea life around you for an hour or more, you can't do this in this machine, it is to limited to fast surface riding and very limited underwater diving. I have better places to put my fun money.
