The boynton beach/ocean ridge inlet is a death trap, I would avoid taking anything through there that's not overpowered to begin with, not just pontoon boats. Conditions make it an unhappy passing, and the score of idiots with a lot of money and no brains makes it downright lethal. Darwin loves that inlet.

They generally don?t maneuver well, don?t take kindly to a running sea, can be very wet, and would be hazarded if brought in or out of some of the inlets in Southern Florida (Boynton Beach Inlet, Hillsboro Inlet, and some of the cuts in the Keys come to mind immediately).  They are calm water vessels.
