The videoray footage of the USS arizona is one of the inspirations for me to design a smaller ROV than Archimedes. It's a great concept to have a purely exploratary ROV...

Their solution for vertical maneuvering is truly very clever..a small reversible motor hidden in the float. Check out their mpegs, the thing dances on the end of that tether with precision.

Someday, with the time on my hands to do so, I would really like to duplicate something like this, right now, I think they want 6k.

Incidentally, I did contact them some time ago, all individual components are available, there is a pricelist on the site somewhere.
