Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Dan H question

Brian,

The four conning tower viewports seem fine to me.  On the surface I can see plenty enough to know if there is anyone around me.  The most important it forward and aft anyway.  Besides, if your maneuvering, your view is changing as you move anyway.

When submerged there really isn't that much to see from the conning tower unless your in really clear water, something we don't have much of around here.  Most of my viewing is from the lower and larger forward / down looking viewport.

A 360 degree view would be great but the four viewports are adequate.
Dan H.

Dan,
Another question,   do you feel with the 90 degree viewports that you have on your K 350 that they are adequate?,  I would think that there would be a blind spot in-between them.  I was thinking of having 8 viewports all the way around originally but now I'm thinking that may be over doing it.  Have you had any circumstance where you wished you had better visibility?

Dan, Did you use internal knee supports from the forward MBT support frame to the hull? Vance
