I recently attended an Explorers Club event in Sydney where a presentation was given on the Sydney raid by Japanese midget subs.

The presenter Steven Carruthers has recently written  new book on the subject - "Japanese Submarine Raiders 1942 - A Maritime Mystery"  ISBN 0-9775063-0-4 Casper Publications.
Very interesting - however would now seem not a mystery.

Very interesting Stephen...thanks. There seems to be a resurgence of interest in these in recent years, and WWII boats in particular. That this was found by amateurs is really special.

It would appear the the US Navy confirmed the recent USS Wahoo discovery on Halloween.

Reading the war patrol reports for these is fascinating stuff.
