RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] 2006 PSUBS Award voting is open

Under such classification, Alec could qualify for the "Beach Award" and would qualify for a "special recognition" award.  The Beach award includes "non-technical promotion" of personal submersibles.  Perhaps we could be more specific in the award description.  Even if that category was not appropriate, anybody can be nominated for a "special recognition" award.

I would recommend that you nominate under both categories and then Ray and I can decide which is more appropriate based upon other nominations that come in.  This applies to any nomination, not just Alec.

 Ray,

It appears that we have no sort of "organizational excellence" award, for folks like you and Jon who actually build and continuously improve PSUBS as an organization.

If you had such an award, I would nominate Alec, for taking the lead in putting the last conference together.  Unless I am mistaken, this was the first time you and Jon felt you were able to delegate that responsiblity to someone else, and Alec did a great job.  I guess PSUBS is growing up.
