Thanks Frank. Last night it occurred to me that I will need guages inside. So full hp air has to come in anyway.

Joe: It depends on what you are using the air for.
If the main purpose is blowing MBT's then you need enough pressure to
overcome the outside water pressure.
A trim tank will operate the same.
On the other hand, if you are operating a device, and the device is sealed,
you only need to make a differential pressure across the seal.
I think of HP air as a power source, much like electricity.
The great thing about this power source is, it stays put, requires almost no
maintenance, and has an almost unlimited number of cycles before it's wore
out.
And it's cheap to replace!
I am piping my air tanks into a manifold at full pressure, and distribution
will go from there. Some at full pressure, and some at regulated pressure.
Depending on it's use.
Redundant systems, and a set of tools onboard in case I have to
re-plumb/re-route the air supply.
Air is power, stored.
