I see what Rob is saying. Simple gasoline buoyancy tank + pressure hull + life support = Marianna's Trench. like Carsten once said...subs are actually simple.
But as Rick points out, what would it cost to get a kayak to the site, and just paddle around a bit? :)
Nice dream though...I personally wouldn't have the nerve to do it.
