Re: RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Life Support (O2)

All compressed air and oxygen is as dry as possible to keep the steel tanks from rusting and aluminum tanks from oxidizing.

Carsten,

Do you know if the different grades of oxygen have different quantities of
moisture in them? I would of thought it best to use a drier version if
possible to keep the humidity in check for longer dives.

Will you be fitting a dehumidifier or other air conditioning equipment to
Euronaut?

Regards,

Harry

You can use "industrial Oxygen" (for welding Porpose) as breathing
oxygen. We use it in our rebreather as pure stuff without any problems
as most diver and pilots did. The o2 Came from the same machine as
"medicine oxygen". I have heard that today the only difference for
"medicine o2" is that they create/pump a vaccum inside the bottles
before they filled the bottles - to make shure that no other gas or air
is inside the bottle..

best regards Carsten
