Frappr/Kodak update
Hi, Harry - I'm not familiar with John's efforts.
I offlist for a few years.
A couple of members started the ball rolling and I followed
through by establishing a Google Earth based map on Frappr.com
Many of us had thought off and on about where exactly and
what exactly the others were up to. We all could have kept our own lists
(I certainly don't have the time) or we could just stick pins and upload a few
pics on the Frappr map.
Judging from the feedback I've been getting (I'm the host of
the PSUBBERS Frappr site) it's a hit.
As well as the Frappr site, we will soon have access to my
new KODAK IMAGE SHARING site.
It's simply a visually oriented (I'm an ex-photographer)
album based site that offers the added advantages of being able to order real
photo prints in varying sizes, stickers, mugs, etc. We've had bad luck with our
old Moki Exchange. It was time for a new beginning.
And no, I don't get a kickback from Kodak for
referrals!!! Most of these images don't belong to me.

Frappr update
Rick,
I think I must have missed the previous
posts regarding this map and pin system. I remember John Farrington compiled a
list of all the members with a small description of their work and arranged
them by where they lived, is your system an updated version of this?
Harry

[PSUBS-MAILIST] Frappr update
Would you like to show others at a
glance where you're at in terms of your submarine building
enterprise?
You can now change your map pin colour to
match the stage you're at, even better if the pin stage matches the info you've
given in your callout. As most of you know, clicking on a pin causes a
callout to pop up.
Updating your callout to match your pin
colour will give a very quick idea to those looking for help where to find it
or what stage you'e at.
For example, my pin is now white.
That's the paper/model stage. A newbie at the beginning of the learning
curve would have a blue pin (blue sky idea?) Current owners, for example
Bill or Carl, would have green pins.
If consensus shows that the original pins
are more appealing I'll return to the orange default setting which is the
current one.
You can find the pin legend at the bottom
of the map.
