Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Ambient / 1ATM Q?

Hi Patrick,

I lost track. Are you building an ambient or 1 ATM?
The octogon hull hints at ambient.

If ambient, the massive drop weights concern me.
Dropping a lot of weight means your sub will rocket to
the surface. Two concerns:

1. Sub. Unless it is designed to let out a lot of
pressure fast, the hull might crack. Causing it to to
go down instead of up.

2. You. Diving physiology stresses concerns about
poping your lungs as you ascend.

In an ambient sub it is best to be able to drop
weights in small incriments of 1, 5, 10, or 20 pounds.
Drop enough to head to surface or break free of the
intanglement but not so much to endanger life and sub.

Regards,
Ray
