Iain,
Most built from scratch. "What do you want with it" with it
should be the first question. so that lead to a unique
design.
A Kittredge 350 is the most built proven desig;. Basic
design, tranportable and 2 person.
If you read yourself trough the psubs site and you have a
tech. background, you should make a good design.
Small mistakes are no problem, you can fix it with
commissioning. If you make a big mistake like the wrong weight
distibution, too small ballast tanks or
sometigh structural , its a looot of work or start all over
again.
regards, Emile

actually design there subs from scratch and work
well. How difficult is it to design a 2
person 1atm sub and get it right. I have an engineering background and
understand all the fundamentals of the design however actually designing one I
am unsure of likelihood of success once built, although it ,might add up on
paper. Do most people build from proven
designs? Regards, Iain.
