Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] For the The Kittredge Award - Cliff Redus for the R300

Steve

Thanks for the nomination.  It is appreciated!

As to Franks' query,
I made the first Psub convention in Portland Maine but have been unable to attend subsequent conversions.  I am not sure at this point  if I will be trailering my boat to Rockland Maine in 2008 as it would be a significant effort coming from San Antonio Texas.
As to dives with my boat "Romeo Three Zero Zero", unfortunately I have only been in the water one time this year for the first round of  "Tea Bag" tests.  My son moved back to Texas in January and we decide to build his home.  After 7 months of work, the home is now complete and his family has moved in. What was left  of this year was spent abroad teaching technical short courses.  My goal this coming year is to get back on the boat testing program and qualify the boat to the point I can begin recreational dives.  I will be sure to document dives and forward to Psub.org.

Merry Christmas to all and best wishes for a productive new year.

Ray

I would respectfully like to nominate Cliff Redus and his R300 for the ‘The Kittredge Award’.

The R300 is a standout in my opinion as the applied technology and ability of this craft is unequalled by anything yet produced by any P-Sub’s member.

Utilization of Technology on this P-sub is incredible with joystick and touch screen controls via a PLC setup. It also has a unique inverted Y finned tail, water jet propulsion and a tear drop shaped hull and integrated safety systems. With mission times of 12 hours and agile aircraft like manoeuvrability, Cliff has truly created an “Underwater Spitfire”.

Regards,

Steve Pearce

Hi All,

Time for the 2007 Awards!

You are allowed to vote for one person per Award Category. You may mention others but make it clear who your vote is for. Give me reasons why they should be the winner since your remarks may tip the balance if I cast the tie breaker .

You can either respond publicly to this mail or send your vote directly to
ray@psubs.org.

I would like to have all votes in by Friday, 21 December 2007.
I will tally and announce the winners on Wednesday, 26 December 2007.
This schedule will give me time to order the awards before the end of the year to get the costs into the 2007 PSUBS LLC budget.

Actual awards to go out when I get them and post pictures.
