RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] For the The Kittredge Award - Cliff Redus for the R300

Well you know what they say about band wagons, you'd better get on before they get going to fast.  So I would also like to add my vote for Cliff's R300 to receive the Kittredge Award.  Not to long ago I sent some data and links on the R300 to my friend Doc, the Bionic Dolphin inventor, and he said he wished he could find a couple of guys like Cliff to work with him on getting the Bionic Dolphin design into production.  As you guys likely know Doc is using syntactic foam and composites in the two seater BioniOrca, so there is some cross over with the R300 design, so he thought it was a very interesting and beautiful design.

What about a two seater R600 design Cliff?  Perhaps integrating in the newer Li-lon batteries and power management systems that Tesla Motors is using or the like would be a good option for longer endurance in your next creation.

Brent Hartwig

I would respectfully like to nominate Cliff Redus and his R300 for the ‘The Kittredge Award’.

The R300 is a standout in my opinion as the applied technology and ability of this craft is unequalled by anything yet produced by any P-Sub’s member.

Utilization of Technology on this P-sub is incredible with joystick and touch screen controls via a PLC setup. It also has a unique inverted Y finned tail, water jet propulsion and a tear drop shaped hull and integrated safety systems. With mission times of 12 hours and agile aircraft like manoeuvrability, Cliff has truly created an “Underwater Spitfire”.

Hi All,

Time for the 2007 Awards!

You are allowed to vote for one person per Award Category. You may mention others but make it clear who your vote is for. Give me reasons why they should be the winner since your remarks may tip the balance if I cast the tie breaker .

You can either respond publicly to this mail or send your vote directly to
ray@psubs.org.

I would like to have all votes in by Friday, 21 December 2007.
I will tally and announce the winners on Wednesday, 26 December 2007.
This schedule will give me time to order the awards before the end of the year to get the costs into the 2007 PSUBS LLC budget.

Actual awards to go out when I get them and post pictures.
