Not quite. The seal(s) will be in the ball for the central shaft and the socket for the ball. Does that make sense? Also, the inner rod will rotate, rather than move in and out. Turn the hand sideways, one finger moving and two fixed, and inside a springloaded gripper handle (think small garden sheers).
