[PSUBS-MAILIST] hatch locking / dogging arrangements

Does anyone have good resources (i.e. drawings or close-up photos) for hatch 
dogging arrangements?  I am familiar with the manual dogs or multiple dog 
with handwheel type arrangements depicted in most of the PSub photos.  I 
would like to learn more about the locking ring / tapered lug arrangements 
used in larger vehicles, and also the sealing arrangements typically employed 
in handwheel shafts that run through hatches.
