Frank, The gen set I've been looking
at is a 16kw North Star diesel for $4,500.00 . I'm also wondering if
turning that on it's side would cause the oil to to migrate to a wrong
place. If so maybe I could rig an oil bypass reservoir,
hopfully it would not be nessesary.

Hi Brian. I can see where it will cost more to have that option. Will you
have an onboard genset for charging?
If it runs on propane you can probably figure a way to tip it.
Have you thought about making your battery tray so it can rotate? I know
that's a big design change, but it may be possible. Frank
