I have a converter for my lathe and mill. There are two types, the kind I have actually runs a motor which supplies an extra leg for the 3 phase power. I think most of the converters now are solid state however.
Anyone have any experience with converters that will take the normal single phase residential feeds and convert to three phase? This would be for those of us looking to run 3 phase welders at home.
