Not an electrical engineer here but I don't think it matters whether you
link them in the pods or cabin. As long as you're pulling 24v properly
the current draw is going to be the same regardless of where you link
the leads. Assuming proper wire gauge for the required amperage there
should be no more heat produced at the penetrator regardless of where
you link the wires. Linking the wires in the pod means fewer wires
through the penetrators.
I will be using 36vdc motors and for the sake of simplicity have been
considering pushing the 36v from the pods for the motors and using an
appropriately sized battery in the cabin for internal components.
