I don't know about the feather drive system underwater. I suppose it would 
with the blades pointed out and the bases against some surface (the hull?). I 
thought about ordering plans for that boat--and may yet do so. He likes it 
because it's quiet and, I suppose, leaves his hands free. Interesting guy.
