I'm sorry if this is a subj that has been brought up before but I scanned through the archives for something like it but to not avail.
I work for the military up here in Canada and when we drop things out of aircraft we use a honey comb type of cardboard as cushioning. What we do is glue 2 slabs of this 2'' thick honey comb to plywood then place full 45 gal drums on top of them, and then drop it out of an aircraft. When we pick up the "package" most of the honey comb is still intact.
I was just wondering if this add strength to a combination metal/kevlar hull?
